Composer



Currently Antal is writing a composition for the unusual combination of vibraphone, electric guitar and cello.
In 2017 Sur Place for two trumpets, movements from A Bout de Souffle for clarinet and piano and 5 Preludes for piano were performed in Tilburg, The Hague and New York.



Antal graduated as a composer in 2003 at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and in 2005 at the Fontys Conservatory in Tilburg. His teachers were Diderik Wagenaar and Willem Jeths.
Antal's compositions have been performed in the Netherlands and abroad by Het Nieuw Ensemble, Domestica Rotterdam, the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra, Collegium Musicum Carinthia, and conducted by Micha Hamel, Wim Steinmann, Ernst van Tiel and Alexei Kornienko. His music has also been performed by piano duo Kuyken/Ambrosini, Quatuor Voce, Zephyr Quartet, chamber choir Ad Parnassum, cellist Harro Ruysenaars and pianist Gayle Blankenberg. Several of his compositions were premiered at the Festival of Flanders, the festival St. Petersburg Musical Spring, the Ravel festival in Montfort L'Amaury, the November Music Festival, the Zhytomyr Musical Spring festival as well as in regular concerts in Göteborg (Sweden) en New York (VS).
